Angus MacAngus- Strangely enough NOT based on the Highlanders, as I actually first developed the idea about a month before they showed up. He was sort of a fusion of Roddy Piper and the Mel Gibson-Braveheart type character. There's probably a hint of Groundskeeper Willie here and there too, although as time's gone by and his temperamental side's been played up that's faded a bit.
Emerald Warrior- Appearance was based on the Spiderman Movie version of the Green Goblin. His persona is similar to that of heel RVD- thinks that as he's one of the select few called up from lucha backgrounds, he has something others don't, and thus is better than them. There's a decent dose of Larry Sweeney in there too. The whole emerald/jewels shtick came about from the plethora of "diamond" based things in wrestling-DDP, Diamond Cutter, Simon Diamonds, "Diamonds are forever and so is Ric Flair", etc. etc.
Them as a team originally came about from the typical booking of feuding guys being a tag team, only I decided to put a different spin on it by having them actually become a successful and established team by chance, instead of the usual falling out within 2 weeks.

Timmy Barnes: I actually had this idea a little while ago, but had no real means of getting it out there. Partially inspired by the glut of "Second-Generation Superstars" in WWE (Ted DiBiase Jr., Cody Rhodes, Nattie Neidhart, Randy Orton, etc.) & by second-generation wrestlers in general (Jeff Jarrett, The Rock, Dustin Rhodes) I decided it'd be fun if we had a character here who comes from a "famous wrestling family", but was less like the aforementioned names & more like utterly clueless berks like Greg Gagne, Erik Watts or David Flair (the latter two being an influence upon his appearance). Of course, I didn't want to use a real wrestling family (though I briefly toyed with the idea of making him an Anderson). Khali's introduction of "legendary" Archibald Barnes was a good opportunity for this useless wrestler to show up & ruin what remained of his family's good reputation through sloppy performances & crappy promos. Wow, so Archibald Barnes WASN'T entirely useless! Don't know about that. But you did list that he's held many titles so I assumed... (mind you, Ric Flair has also held many titles &... well...).

Dreia Borbone: Dreia was a mix of a few things. Oddly enough she started out as a D&D character for a site I post at. She was semi-attractive female monk in a setting where everyone had lost their memories, and the only way to get them back was to find missing gear. She didn't even have a name, but was nicknamed "Kitty" by our own Lady Dark. She was more talkative and much more lazy, but her attitude remained the same for the most part. The game shut down, so I took her and made her CROSS THE LINE from D&D to E-Feds (with some changes to appearance and nationality, obviously). Her attire comes from an interest in that clothing on women. Especially after seeing a few waitresses in it, I thought it would be a cool attire. I also base alot of her on some anime characters, the ones that are so bored looking all the time. Most notable would be Mitsune "Kitsune" Konno from Love Hina and Anya Alstreim from Code Geass. Of course, there's also a bit of Italian history in her as well. Kitsune Anya

I know I'm the new guy but I couldn't help but post here. Character inspirations are fascinating to me. I love seeing how vague ideas take form. Anyway...
I've been doing my own fed made up entirely of characters I've personally made up for years, it's 100% my own creation. Two of my EWT characters are on the full time roster. It's where I can run angles, gimmicks, story lines, and matches that interest me and see where it all goes, it's a very elaborate creativity exercise. The Creep From The Deep is a member of this fed. The reason I brought him in particular here to WIG was to see how far I could take the character in a collaborative environment.
I have a fascination with ocean life, especially creatures we know very little about. Deep sea fish are bizarre and fascinate me to no end. I wanted to do a gimmick based on this and The Creep was born from that. I thought about how a viper fish/human hybrid would behave and came up with this anemic, violent, rotten character with no discernible speech pattern, a working brain, and no remorse whatsoever. I added the angler for purely aesthetic reasons. I'm pretty sure I stole the name from Scooby Doo.

If you have ever played Left 4 Dead then you're aware of a monster in the game called The Witch. It's completely docile and just sits, weeping to itself. Until you startle it. Then it goes completely beserk and violently murders you. That basically got the ball rolling with the Gehenna character.
