I thought I was gonna actually take the belt when I realized I was the last entrant. As soon as it came down to just me and Davies, my hopes went through the roof! Mostly because I just came in last year, and had never even heard of the dude.
Eh, I'll be looking for him later on. Hensley will be a contender before the year's end. You heard it here first.
Now that I think about, if I had won the belt that night, I'd have gone from a guy yet to win on PPV to a double champion. Wowzers.

I was offered it & turned it down... twice. I still think that Ssnake or Andy would have been better choices, but this was an uncertain time. In Toomi's defense he had to put the belt on someone he knew he could be certain would stick around. Someone, to me, who seemed to stay in EWT as long in his brief returns as Az sometimes. But like I said, I'm not surprised. I've heard and even experienced myself how the vets can do whatever they want to your characters, and not get scolded for it. Because, after all, they were here before you and who are you to ask for them to treat you as equals. In some cases that's true (& I know just who you mean), but Dave, Joker, HMark & Chocula were some of the vets who were quite helpful to me when I started out in EWT (particularly Dave who gave me my first feud & PPV win).

I know exactly what incident you're talking about, and I can tell you he wasn' much help with me, either. The one PPV he was in charge of, he made all three Ragnals sound very...uncharacteristic in a promo. The next month, he made the Ragnals out to be HEELS. Shows how much Womels pays attention, uh? Like Maxx said, though, a bunch of the guys I started with (Ult, Poker Joker, Limey namely) helped me out with my writing, and even shared our thoughts on most of the storylines or the "Merc Idiocy of the Day". While RP feds are the norm these days, I still think that a fed such as EWT or WIG or WHOA are the places to start off on, because at least then you can learn and develop your writing and such before you get too competitive. My two cents.

I have a name for that female version of Jerry "The King" Lawler:
Jenny "The Queen" Jameson.

I thought of one too:
Persephone "Annie" Williams.
Though I wasn't thinking of a joke character as much.

My two cents. See the thing is that I've never had a problem with the vets you've spoke of. In fact, I like alot of them: namely Joker. Professionally, I consider him of the best.

In that case... I thought of her character too...
She's a down to earth woman in her late twenties/early thirties that loves wrestling from a young age. Unlike most, she never considered in-ring action and went into college earning a degree in Communications. She's often seen wearing a ball cap with the company's logo and comfortable yet formal clothes. She favors good matches and athletic displays, but does seem to appreciate the male body a bit much at times.
What do you guys think?

Duke shall probably be leaving EWT after the next PPV.

Just kinda throwing this out there, but since we are trying to distance W*I*G from EWT...
Instead of just a (insert date) Match Board, why not actually have a show name? Like WHOA and AMAZING. I'd give you some suggestions of my own, but who am I kidding...

that would be cool. actually have it be like a show name. KPW does the same thing(Ignition).
Just start throwin' some names out, folks.
