So, for today, I really wanted to come up with a witty intro. But, my brain just couldn't think of anything. It was like it was on a road to nowhere. Hey...
Wait a minute...
That's a Talking Heads song!

Well, I messed up. Last night, Community was on. For those of you who don't know, it's a sitcom about a community college; and it's a lot funnier than it sounds. Anyway, one of the stars is Chevy Chase. And, if I had been smarter, I would have posted this video yesterday:

Warning: Today's video could cause seizures. You know what that means? It's either so visually stunning that blows people's minds or is just visually annoying. I'll let you be the judge. Here's Gnarls Barkley's "Run":

Did you know that Bob Dylan had a son named Jacob? And that Jacob started a band called The Wallflowers? If not, now you do. What does that have to do with today's video? I'm playing one of The Wallflowers' songs today. DUH! I figured that would be obvious by bringing up the band! Anyway, here's "One Headlight":

Here's another video I'm posting because I heard it on the radio. However, I'm not doing this because I'm lazy but rather because the station went all staticy like halfway through the song. So, here's that Beastie Boys classic, "Sabotage":

Today, I once again have nothing witty to say before this video. Mainly because I have not seen "Donnie Darko," but I am aware of this song's use in the film. Anyway, here's Tears For Fears:

Again, sorry the lateness. Anyway, it's February. And, you all know that famous holiday February i known for: Valentine's Day. But, that gets a lot of attention. So much so that it sometimes overshadows the other thing February is known for Black History Month. But, I refuse to ignore that! No siree bob! You see, there are a lot of great black musicians out there; and I wanna recognize their work. So, for the entire month, nothing but black musicians! Let's begin with Living Colour:

For today, we're looking at a video from a 20 year old movie about one hot day leading to a race riot and the destruction of Sal's Pizza. It's a little diddy from Public Enemy for Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing," "Fight The Power":

To lighten the mood from the previous two days, and because someone put the suggestion in my head and couldn't think of anything else to post, here's Billy Ocean's "Get Out Of My Dreams (And Into My Car)":

So far, this Black History Month deal has been a sausage fest. We can't forget the ladies. They've played an important role in music as well. So, here's Tina Turner's "Private Dancer": www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuuCEx3c_pA
