Well, what was the best match at New Genesis?
This was tough for me to choose since I enjoyed both the Chain Match and the Coltrane/Crow match very much. However, I decided to give the nod to the W*I*G World Heavyweight Championship. I liked how they tricked us with Gigantor Maximus...well, I liked it after Crow came out. I almost went with the Chain Match, but I do not really like hardcore matches. Plus, Coltrane looked strong, and they did not make Crow look weak even though he lost.
Also, I was disappointed that this PPV only had three matches. Why couldn't they have thrown together a few more matches?

Wow. 3 whole matches... nice one. Seriously, we couldn't have had Fannie Package vs. The Zephyr Brothers or something...? The main event was great. Gigantor Maximus was a funny surprise &, as stated, even though Crow lost he still looked good in defeat as it took nearly everything Coltrane had to put him down. Despite the lack of matches, the PPV was still a high qualiyt offering. Even the TNT & Magnum Chain Match was good (though I disliked the stipulation). However, match of the night has to go to Coltrane vs. Gigantor Maximus for the pure comedy aspect.

I've heard from some website that this was just a one off thing for Crow. Kinda like that RVD Rumble appearance. Though seems kinda a shame to have a great match and then not even go from there. But then I've heard rumors that Crow's looking to retire anyway. Not sure how true any of that is, you know with questionable credibility of newz.

I heard that too (& I hope that was a one-off from Gigantor too ). It is a tad disappointing but a one-off appearance (that resulted in his defeat) is kind of fitting for Ferhago Crow in a way. I'd like to see him maybe make special "Undertaker/Sting"-like appearances every now & again. Not necessary for his character to be in the spotlight all the time, that's what works best for him.

Ferhago Crow was one of my all time favorites back in days at EWT. With that said, it's pretty obvious which of these matches I chose. Though as for people lambasting WIG for not putting one more than three matches, technically more like two in this case, I imagine they had some complications considering that most of the roster was still back in Japan at the Tigerpath show. It'd be pretty expensive to fly them back and forth just so they could put more matches on the card and I'm not quite sure WIG has enough money at the moment to do stuff like that.

Yeah, I guess you're right. But if they were able to secure one-off talent like Ferhago Crow (& "talent" like Gigantor Maximus), why not have a few other one-off exhibition matches on the card? Like... I dunno, Team Ireland vs. The Sexy Brothers or something? Neither of those teams was in Japan (I think both had issues trying to sort out work visas) so that could've been a match that could've easily been held on the New Genesis card.
