I have to say, I honestly think Attrition was W*I*G*'s best show yet. Every one of the matches seemed to deliver in a big way in ring wise. Not only that, but we also saw the debut of not three new names, one of which being the former EWT Tag Team Champions, The Highland Diamonds!
The Women's Match was absolutely epic in my opinion. It's rare when a women's match approaches the hour mark, but this one seemed keep going, without things slowing down too much. Not only that, but other than Danny Taylor, everyone involved was given a chance to shine.
Of course, the Tag Team Gauntlet was quite great too. If the women's match went nearly an hour or so, I'd say this one absolutely trumped it length wise. And again, other then The Superstars, which obviously I did not mind getting jobbed out, everyone was once again given a chance to shine in that match. Though I was surprised that the Johannsons pinned the White Boys. Perhaps that will lead somewhere.
Concerning Magnum and Damien, it seems like at the end of that one, TNT and Blood'a alliance is no more. But at the same time, it looks like the conflict is not yet resolved between him and Constance. I'm curious And what's to become of Nicole and Constance?
Gigantor vs Archibald was... well, it was horrible. Horribly great that is! It was certainly a battle for the ages, especially considering the latter. Gigantor's gimmick is brilliantly done. He's able to play that tiny monster character to a tee. Barnes is fun too, but you have to fear for the geezer's safety. Perhaps though with this new arrival of... Timmy, he may be taking a backseat into a manager position for his young charge? Though, judging from that awful Overdrive of his, I'm doubtful of his abilities for the moment.
The Guitar on a Pole Match was... a about as good as a pole match could be. All four of the people involved certainly did the best they could with the stipulation and really it didn't bring the down too much. Though things did kind of slow down when they were scaling the poles.
The ladder match was pretty grand. Ringworm definitely impressed in that match, using that ladder very effectively against her opponent. Maeve held her own too in my opinion, absolutely brutalizing Ringworm at times during the bout. Of course, the ending also makes sense booking wise, seeing as ladder matches are no disqualification. Trauma and Fright coming down to the ring afterwards was odd, but I guess somebody had to make the save. I have to think this is leading somewhere.
Malakai Larkin vs Aqil Ghassan never actually started. But it's not like said it would. Though Aqil did get a little retribution for last month when he ran in and sent Malakai packing. He also cut a pretty good promo there. Really, ever since he stopped being happy smiley Ghassan, Aqil has cut some solid promos in my opinion. Honestly, at first I didn't expect that from him, but you can tell how passionate he is when he speaks.
Aidan Donnelly vs Chaz Stone was pretty much what I expected, the clean cut Chaz E Stone trying to fend off the dirty Team Irelander's constant cheating, as well as assistance from O Hare. And again, the ending made sense, I mean why not have all of Team Ireland get involved when you have the opportunity? In addition to the ending of the ladder match, I'm certain this will end up in some kind of match.
And of course, the absolutely brutal Synthy Eris vs Coltrane Dog Collar I Quit Match. These two beat the living hell out of each other, stretched one another in various painful submissions, and took total advantage of that chain binding them together by their necks. You clearly knew this would be a bloodbath. And the ending was definitely something else. This match should once and for all eliminate the doubt of Synthy Eris being a great champion or not. Though you have to wonder where she'll go from here and who will be next to challenge her.
All in all, this was a fantastic show in this obscure man's opinion. I truly hope that the next PPV turns out just as well, though that may be a rather lofty goal to achieve. Though with an already confirmed Malakai Larkin vs Aqil Ghassan Street Fight lined up, things are already looking good.
