The purpose of this section is to provide a place to put various wrestlers who have either gone beyond a training ground or developmental or have yet to enter one, and are not a part of the developmental territory WHOA, the overseas promotion TigerPath, or the top-tier company W*I*G. Such wrestlers, as a result, are not bound to the contracts of any of those companies. In fact, wrestlers belonging to this section could in fact be former wrestlers from any of those feds who quit, were released, are semi-retired, etc.
Wrestlers who are posted under "Notable Independent Talents" are getting tryout matches or work on a match-to-match basis with W*I*G, TigerPath, or possibly even WHOA. They could wrestle one match and disappear for the rest of their days or be a consistent feature on match boards and maybe even PPVs. As such, here's a couple rules and pointers for starters:
1. "Notable independent talents" can be put in a match board if you offer for them to be entered into one. Alternately, if the need arises, we might ask if you want them to be placed into one, although they’ll never be forcibly entered if you don’t want them to.
2. You may either use your regular account when posting these bios or make an account specifically for them. This rule has been ammended from an earlier one.
3. There is NO limit to how many independent talents you have. You could have one…twelve…a billion. Okay, perhaps that might be a wee bit excessive, but the point is that there is no set limit. Make as many or as few as you’d like.
4. Feel free to use them with the frequency you desire. Consider indy talents to be characters and wrestlers you want to use immediately or in the near future, but might not have the time to fully commit to as if they were regular roster members.
5. You can post promos (and maybe even storylines) and the like for indy talents if you’d like. They’re not limited strictly to matches, although do try to keep them from being mainstays if they’re going to stay as indy wrestlers. This isn’t really for anything outside of realism.
6. This is supposed to be on open-ended and freeform way of creating and using a character or wrestler in an environment with regular roster members of W*I*G (and indeed, members of other rosters as well, on occasion) as well. Don’t be surprised if the opportunity or request to bring these characters into a “wildcard” style match board takes place—these independent roster members can even be wrestlers that have very well have appeared on the most recent one. Besides, where’d we bring them in? What, you thought they just spontaneously were created?
7. And of course, enjoy.
