Finkel: The following contest is a SIX-MAN CAGE MATCH, held under ESCAPE ONLY rules. The first two men to escape the cage—either by climbing out of it or by exiting through the door—will face one another in a match for the W*I*G World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Pay Per View event, Halloween Hell! Introducing first…
L. Rey: *L. Rey’s music plays.*
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoQdLJt--kEFinkel: Coming down the aisle, at 5 feet 9 inches, weighing at 202 pounds, from Amarillo, Texas—L. REY.
*L. Rey comes out to a big pop. He’s wearing a black leather coat, green cargo pans, and black boots. He’s also carrying his guitar. He runs down to the ring, hands his guitar and coat to the ref at the door, quickly enters the ring, runs toward TNT, and attacks him.*
*TNT’s music plays.*
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCX8gDW4YS0 Finkel: Next, coming down the aisle, at 6 feet 5 inches, weighing at 252 pounds, from Superior, Arizona—Toby Nicholas Tucker, TNT.
*TNT comes out to the boos of the crowd. Surprisingly, he's by himself. TNT is wearing that black noseguard for his injured nose, red wrestling tights with “TNT” in white down the legs and a flame design on the legs, white wrist tape, and black cowboy boots with a fire design on them. He also has that horseshoe tied to a rope around his neck. Pyro goes off as he walks to the ring. He walks over to the cage door, opens it, and enters.*
Finkel: Now introducing…
*
“Living for the Weekend” picks up on the speakers as the crowd immediately begins to boo, though their reaction is somewhat subdued at first. But when the volume picks up and Jason Hereford steps out onto the stage, the intensity and volume of their reaction strongly increases. Jason spreads his legs apart slightly, swinging up an arm and executing his signature pose as he glances out at the audience.*
Finkel: From San Diego, California, weighing in at 221 pounds…JASON HEEEERRRRREFOOOOOOOOORD!
*Jason drops his arm, swinging it down in a reverse of how he lifted it, as he walks down the aisle and completely ignores the people standing on either side of him. When he reaches the caged ring, Jason takes off his jacket and sunglasses, handing them off to the timekeeper before climbing up the stairs and entering the enclosure. He slides into a corner and backs himself up, lowering his head and straightening out his sickeningly greasy hair.*
Finkel: And…
*Waylander's
"Born to the Fight" cues up in the W*I*G-Sphere & the crowd gives a slightly mixed reaction as Shane Malone appears on the stage after the opening tin whistle solo; the boos still slightly outweigh the cheers, though. Shane is carrying a Tricolour-wrapped Hurley with him. He raises both arms in the air as the usual Green, White & Gold pyro goes off behind him.*
Finkel: Representing Team Ireland, standing six feet, eight inches tall, weighing in at 307lbs, from Galway, Ireland, he is "The Celtic Giant"... SHAAAANE... MAAAAA~LOOOOONE!
*Shane carries on down towards the ring. Neither ignoring nor acknowledging the fans around him.*
Tom: Once again, we see Shane Malone without Coach O'Hare.
Jeannie: As long as Shane's out here, I won't be complaining.
*Shane surveys the cage for a moment before he enters through the door. He steps into the ring over the top rope & tears his Team Ireland shirt off before tossing the shreds against the side of the cage.*
Finkel: Now introducing…
*The lights drop in the W*I*G-Sphere. The wailing guitar of Type O Negative's
"I Don't Wanna Be Me" indicates the arrival of one Alexander Coltrane & the lights go up, focusing at the stage entrance. Coltrane steps out onto the ramp clad completely in black & the crowd boos him vociferously. Coltrane, as usual, ignores the reaction of the audience, looking only at his opponents assembled in the ring.*
The Fink: Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall, he weighed in this morning at 234lbs, from Queens, New York, this is... COOOOOL~TRAAAAAANE!
*Coltrane marches on down the aisle, his eyes focussed on the ring & the cage surrounding it. he's hungrier than ever to get back the W*I*G World Heavyweight Title that he feels is rightfully his & tonight he will get a chance to reach that peak once again.*
Finkel: And introducing lastly…
*Bagpipes fill the air in the arena while the lights dim, turning to light blue and white spotlights that search the arena. They all focus on the ramp. The bagpipes fade out, yielding to Alice Cooper's "School's Out". Over the din of the music, a roaring engine can be heard, a roaring engine that revs on command. Chaz Stone parts the curtain with force on his motorcycle as the crowd cheers mightily for him.*
Finkel: From Seattle, Washington, by way of Edinburgh, Scotland and weighing in at 20.75 stone… he is the “Tower of Power”…CHAZ STOOOOOOOOONE!
*He throws up a Maloik and revs the engine for the fans as they try to out-strip it in noise. Chaz rolls quickly down to the ring on his ride, the St. Andrews Cross attached to his saddlebag flapping in the wind, then does a lap around the outside. When he gets off, he swings his far leg over the top and to the ground. Chaz grabs his flag and waves it around in proud, wide strokes, taunting Shane with the motion. He slaps hands with the fans as he walks to the ring, replacing his flag in its proper place. Chaz slides into the ring head-first. He stands up and throws up a double Maloik for the fans. He then stretches out further in his corner, ready for the match.*
DING DING DING!
*As soon as the bell sounds, four of the six men charge at each other. L. Rey and TNT charge at one another, exchanging blows back and forth. Chaz Stone and Shane Malone do much the same to each other, clubbing punches alternating to the heads of each man. Jason Hereford and Coltrane, on the other hand, back themselves up along an isolated part of the cage wall, away from either skirmish happening closer to the middle of the ring. Both Coltrane look at one another and, not wasting a moment, begin to scale the wall of the cage. Meanwhile, Malone and Stone, still engaged in their brawl, are fighting towards that very side of the cage wall. Malone grabs Chaz by an arm, whipping him in that direction, Stone reversing it as Shane is sent hard into the side of the cage wall, crashing into it and ricocheting off as both Jason and Coltrane are stopped short, their feet knocked clean off of the chain links of the cage. With Shane in a daze, Chaz Stone wastes no time chasing after the two, jumping onto the ring ropes with a hand wrapped around one ankle of each man as he pulls away at them, trying to bring them down. On the opposite side of the ring, L. Rey and TNT are continuing their brawling, with TNT forcing L. Rey into a corner with his shoulders. He rears back and throws a pair of big punches, before winding back for a third, heavier punch. As he throws it, L. Rey blocks it and reverses their positioning at the corner, spinning around and forcing Tucker into the turnbuckles, back first. L. Rey winds an arm back and unleashes a stinging knife-edge chop on Toby. He throws another knife-edge chop, this one starting to redden Tucker’s chest a little. L. Rey then goes to lift TNT onto the top turnbuckle, but a rake to the eyes stops him as he turns around, clutching his face in pain. With L. Rey backed off, Tucker regains his composure as he drops down from the turnbuckle and runs behind L. Rey, hooking his arms from behind and picking him up, throwing him behind himself with a dragon suplex.*
Tom: Big dragon suplex from TNT. He’s looking to keep the very angry L. Rey at bay, who undoubtedly wants blood from him here tonight.
Jeannie: I’d just run.
Tom: You can try, but when you’re surrounded by impregnable steel, that’s a pretty tough thing to do.
*On the other side of the ring, Chaz is still pulling away at Hereford and Coltrane, leaning back as his two opponents cling to the links of the cage wall. Jason takes one hand off, attempting to climb up a little bit more and pull himself away from Stone, but with one arm off, Chaz is finally able to pull him off as Jason tumbles backwards to the mat. Coltrane, on the other hand, maintains his grip as Stone refocuses with both of his arms, climbing up and holding a waistlock on Coltrane as he pulls back. Shane Malone, more than completely recovered from earlier, has been climbing the cage wall in the meantime and is nearly at the top. Just as Malone is almost at the top, TNT quickly jumps onto the ropes and scales the cage, forearming Malone in the lower back repeatedly. Shane kicks away at him with one boot, catching TNT in the jaw, but Tucker remains standing and continues forearming away at Malone. Shane’s grip slips, and TNT pulls him down to the top rope and elbows him in the side of the head. Malone retaliates with a huge punch that sends TNT staggering back across the ropes. Shane throws another big punch, sending TNT in reeling before he grabs him around the shoulder and tosses him clear off the ropes and onto the mat with a thud. No sooner does Shane turn back around to resume climbing that El Rey jumps onto the ropes nearby, springboarding off and grabbing Shane’s head from behind with his legs as he throws him off, Malone crashing down to the mat as El Rey lands beside him.*
Tom: Springboard hurricanrana! Well-executed—and that’s a move that takes some practice to master.
Jeannie: Maybe I’ll ask him if he wants to practice a few moves like that with me…
Tom: For the love of—just keep your mind on the match!
*Coltrane and Chaz Stone are still on the side of the cage wall, struggling to hold onto the cage as Chaz pulls himself back. Suddenly, Chaz takes his feet off of the ropes and deadweights, pulling down on Coltrane who now has to deal with an additional 290 pounds pulling down on him. Coltrane finally loses his grip with a groan as his reddened hands are separated from the cage and Stone throws him down to the mat. Just as Stone gets up and turns himself around, a high running knee from Jason Hereford catches him in the side of the head and sends him staggering down to the mat. Jason turns around, noticing the lull in the fighting on his side of the ring and sees TNT creeping towards the cage door, trying not to catch the attention of the nearby L. Rey and Shane Malone who are busy fighting one another in a nearby corner, Rey dodging all of Malone’s big punches and throwing a few of his own. TNT moves past all of this, and is just about to the door when he feels one of his legs pulled right off the mat mid-stride. He turns his head around, seeing Hereford, who pulls him closer to himself. Jason releases TNT’s leg and forearms him twice in the face, whipping him in the direction of a neutral corner. In the other corner, L. Rey continues avoiding the Celtic Giant’s vastly more powerful strikes, throwing in his own as a response; though their effect seems relatively minor. With this, L. Rey runs back towards the other side of the ring, darting around and running at Shane Malone, jumping up at him and attempting a monkey flip. Malone blocks it entirely, catching L. Rey in the air around the waist as he locks in a bear hug, squeezing away.*
Tom: When Shane Malone’s got his massive arms wrapped around you, it becomes clearly apparent why it’s called a “bear hug.”
Jeannie: Yes please!
*Seizing the opportunity from Hereford’s earlier knee to Stone’s head, Coltrane has been stomping away at Chaz Stone around the head and upper torso. Coltrane picks Stone up off the mat, holding him by the head, and drags him toward some ring ropes, putting Chaz’s eyes across the ropes as he begins to rake them back and forth, a content grin across his face. Chaz groans audibly in pain, but throws a stiff back elbow to the midsection that catches Coltrane off-guard and abruptly ends the attack. Chaz gets up and, picking Coltrane clear off the ground, flapjacks him in a way so that his throat hot-shots over top the ring ropes; Coltrane bounces back up and flops down to the mat, gasping for breath as Stone sits himself up, rubbing his eyes. With TNT in the corner, Jason charges at him, one knee leaning forward like a brandished weapon. As Jason leaps at TNT, Tucker catches his knee with both hands, pushing him down as he falls to the mat. TNT jumps up and to the turnbuckle, leaping off drops an elbow on Hereford, right across the chest. TNT picks him up off the mat, lifting him up in position for a reverse F-5. Tucker signals for the move, but all the weight upon his shoulders suddenly disappears. Feeling no Hereford on his shoulders, he turns around, only to see Shane Malone—who has apparently abandoned his bearhug from earlier—clutching a scooped-up, horizontally-held Jason Hereford in the air, who charges at TNT and, using Hereford’s back as a battering ram, pushes him back into the corner from which he emerged.*
Jeannie: Holy smokes! My body’s short-circuiting!
Tom: You think it’s hot, but I think that’s a damn impressive display of power; Shane Malone is using Jason Hereford as a WEAPON to fend off TNT! And he doesn’t even seem to be breaking a sweat!
*Malone pulls himself and the still-grasped Hereford out of the corner, turning around as he sees L. Rey running at him. Shane swipes at him with Hereford as L. Rey dodges to the side, narrowly avoiding getting hit by Hereford’s struggling feet. L. Rey runs towards the ropes, as Hereford finally frees himself of Malone with a rake to the eyes, prompting the Celtic Giant to drop Jason as he clutches at his eyes, Hereford rolling off to the side of the cage. As Malone staggers to the side, L. Rey executes a springboard off the ropes and leaps at him, moonsaulting around and executing a reverse DDT! With Shane downed from the Angel DDT, L. Rey gets up to his knees, contemplating his next move. Coltrane and Chaz Stone are, at this point, trading punches and forearms in an irregular mixture. Chaz gets the upper hand, lifting a struggling Coltrane up off his feet in a setup for a samoan drop as he runs towards a cage wall, rearing down driving Coltrane back-first into the metal links. Stone turn around, running towards the center of the ring, but a chop block from the flank from a charging Hereford takes him off-balance as he stumbles to the side, his momentum halted. Hereford scrambles up to his feet, kneeing Stone in the back as Coltrane slips off of Chaz’s shoulders, landing on his feet behind the Scotsman. Coltrane quickly grabs Chaz around behind, picking him up and executing a backbreaker across his knee to take him down. With Stone down, Coltrane grabs both of his legs, locking in a Boston Crab not one bit different from the variant utilized by Stone himself. Jason nods at this, running over to a corner opening towards Chaz’s face. He scales the turnbuckle and jumps off, hitting Stone in the head with a torpedo dropkick as Coltrane keeps the Crab locked in.*
Tom: Coltrane’s Crab not only looks an awful lot like Stone’s, but it probably hurts like hell too.
Jeannie: Probably? Add in the dropkick too, and it probably hurts even MORE.
*TNT, meanwhile, is scaling the cage, attempting to get over and out of the structure. Suddenly, L. Rey runs over towards him, climbing up fast enough to meet face-to-face along the wall of the cage. L. Rey releases one hand from the cage and punches TNT in the side of the head. TNT retaliates in the same way, executing a punch to L. Rey on the side of the head. He then grabs L. Rey by the back of the head, slamming him face-first into the chain links, though Rey maintains his balance. Tucker slams his face into the cage once again, before pulling his head back. He goes for another head slam, but L. Rey blocks it entirely, breaking free of TNT’s grip and reversing the flow of attack, now slamming TNT’s face into the cage wall. L. Rey releases his other hand from the cage wall, leaning over towards TNT and locking his free arm with TNT’s other arm, before armdragging him off the side of the cage and down to the mat with a thud. No sooner does L. Rey get up to his feet, walking towards the cage to climb out, that a huge lariat from an angry Shane Malone strikes him in the back of the head, knocking him down face-first. Malone walks past the downed L. Rey and TNT and begins slowly climbing up the cage, making sure that his footing is in order. Jason and Coltrane, now punching away at Chaz Stone in a corner nearby, spot him climbing up and both run over, climbing up the ropes as each man begins throwing punches at opposite flanks of the Celtic Giant. Malone pulls one leg back and kicks at Hereford, sending him stumbling back on the ropes as the vagrant desperately attempts to keep his balance. Malone throws a kick at Coltrane who, unlike Hereford, is able to avoid it, pressing his back against the wall of the cage as the foot misses him by a hair. Coltrane leans towards Malone, hitting him in the midsection with a particularly strong elbow that causes the big man to lose his grip as he instinctively coves his abdominal area. With this, Coltrane and a now-recovered Jason Hereford quickly execute a double snap suplex from the top rope as Shane goes crashing down to the mat. With the impact from their falls minimal, Jason and Coltrane get up, and both turn around—only for the both of them to eat a double clothesline from Chaz Stone!*
Jeannie: So much for
that.Tom: They may have been able to take Shane Malone down with a double snap suplex, but Chaz Stone was waiting for them on the mat below. And I think they’ll both be feeling that clothesline for at least a
little while…
*Stone, now standing over top of both Coltrane and Hereford, passes them by as he walks towards the door of the cage. Not even halfway across, Stone is hit in the back with a bicycle kick from TNT, who shoots up to his feet, picking Chaz up off his feet and giving him a quick gutbuster to take him back down to the mat. TNT stomps at his upper arms a few times, before sitting him up and planting a boot squarely between Stone’s shoulders, executing a surfboard stretch as he grabs both of Chaz Stone’s arms and pulls them back. L. Rey, meanwhile is finally getting up to his feet; both of his arms are wrapped around the back of his head, still shaking off the pain from the earlier lariat. With Malone, Hereford and Coltrane all recovering, he seizes the moment and jumps onto a nearby turnbuckle, immediately scaling up the side of the cage wall. He gets close to the top, but looks straight down below him, seeing Jason Hereford and Coltrane both climbing up under him. L. Rey kicks below himself, catching Coltrane in the side of the head, but Jason Hereford grabs him around the ankle with both arms, hanging on as Coltrane shakes off the damage of the kick and, standing on the top of the ropes, pulls L. Rey down to a level even with Hereford and himself. Both of the allies turn L. Rey about, punching away and kneeing at him before they hold him in a suplex position. They prepare to lift him off, but a recovered Shane Malone hits both men from behind in retribution for the earlier double suplex executed to him, forearms smashing into their lower backs. On the other side of the ring, Chaz Stone is on his feet, powering out of the surfboard stretch as he throws TNT off of him. Stone grabs TNT by an arm, whipping him into a corner near the other four competitors. Instead of running at TNT, Chaz walks towards Malone, Hereford, Coltrane and L. Rey, his eyes set on the Celtic Giant. With L. Rey still between them, Coltrane and Jason Hereford use their free arms, both of them punching away at Shane Malone, trying to fend him off. Malone begins to waver, but Chaz Stone, now arriving at the brawl, begins to
assist Shane, throwing a pair of huge punches first at Jason Hereford, then at Coltrane, stunning each man as they each stand weak-kneed on the ropes. Standing below Hereford, Coltrane and L. Rey, Shane Malone and Chaz Stone look at each other, then back at the trio above them, before looking back at each other once again. They give a nod and at this, Shane and Chaz stand under Coltrane and Jason, respectively—the two stunned allies above them still holding a beaten-up L. Rey in the setup to be raised for a suplex—as the two much larger men raise the trio above them, holding Jason and Coltrane between them in a connected powerbomb setup. Jason, Coltrane and L. Rey, all regaining their bearings, struggle to pull themselves out of their predicaments; L. Rey furiously punches at Coltrane and Jason Hereford, who, in turn, now holding L. Rey completely vertical, punch at Shane and Chaz. Suddenly, TNT bursts out of the corner he had been whipped into, arriving between Stone and Malone and reinforcing the pyramid as the three men on the bottom all drop forward simultaneously, throwing Jason, Coltrane and L. Rey off of their shoulders as Coltrane and Jason—involuntarily—superplex L. Rey with them as the trio are powerbombed to the mat with a thunderous crash, only surpassed by the sound of the crowd!*
Tom: TOWER OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM~!
Jeannie: You’ve been waiting all this time to say that, haven’t you?
Tom: …yes.
*Coltrane, Jason Hereford and L. Rey all lay in the middle of the ring, laid out and groaning in agony. The three men who threw them off from their perch each get up, though TNT makes it to his feet the quickest, jumping onto the side of the cage nearest to himself and scrambling up as fast as he possibly can. Chaz Stone reaches upwards, grabbing Tucker around one ankle as he rears back and begins pulling with both arms, attempting to rip TNT right off of the cage wall. TNT maintains his grip on the side of the cage, not letting go despite having Stone tugging away at him. With his other foot, he begins kicking away at the Scotsman’s head, trying to force him to let go. Suddenly, his kicks cease—Shane Malone is now holding onto his other ankle with both arms—and now with both of the big men pulling away at him, TNT is quickly thrown off with extreme force as he crashed back-first into the center of the ring. With the other four men in the match away from them, Chaz Stone and Shane Malone turn around to face each other, quickly locking eyes and staring each other down. They each tilt their heads down, their brows facing forwards as they advance towards one another. Once Malone and Stone are what seems to be inches away—but, considering their size could easily be much more than that—they both stop flat, still focused on each other as each man lifts his arms with tense expressions on their faces. They both thrust their arms forward, locking up in a test of strength that seems to be going nowhere. Shane and Chaz each lower their center of gravity; bending their knees and pushing forward with all their might. On this occasion, neither man can hold a definite advantage over the other, much less even a minor advantage for even a moment. They push back and forth, but neither man budges an inch. Their faces are beet-red from all the pressure that they’re forcing upon one another, but as each man’s effort to overpower the other at this juncture is a stalemate, they both let go and back off slightly, their facial expressions the same as before. Now, each man raises a single arm, like before. But when they thrust the single arms, their hands lock together as they begin to shake and the crowd immediately cheers in approval.*
Jeannie: What…the…?
Tom: It seems as though the two biggest men in this match—the Tower of Power and the Celtic Giant—have, in mutual respect for each other, put aside their differences and may very well have just forged an alliance here!
Jeannie: I thought these guys hated each other!
Tom: Anyone and everyone is a potential ally in a match where you’re only one of six, all of whom are completely determined competitors.
*Both of the big men now turn their attention towards the center of the squared circle. In all the time that they both have spent contesting their strength against one another, they’ve allowed for their competitors to recollect themselves somewhat. While L. Rey is still downed from earlier, TNT is on his knees, shaking off the pain of being thrown as far and as hard as he was, whereas Coltrane and Jason Hereford are both using the ropes to support themselves. Chaz grabs TNT by the head, pulling him up completely to his feet and whipping him into a corner. He throws a few big punches, each clipping TNT in the side of the head before the Arizonian is whipped hard into a corner, face-first, sending him back down. Shane meanwhile attacks both Jason and Coltrane, taking Jason down with a single-arm clothesline while attempting to set Coltrane up for a chokeslam, talon-like hand wrapped around Coltrane’s stubbly throat. Coltrane fights back, throwing wide, alternating punches between his hands, forcing Shane to let go and sending him stumbling back for a moment. But now Chaz Stone comes barreling towards Coltrane, cracking him in the side of the head with a Yakuza kick that sends him straight down. With Malone and Stone both focused on Coltrane for the moment, Jason seizes the opportunity to get himself out of harm’s way, scrambling on his hands and knees away from that part of the cage. L. Rey, meanwhile, is pulling himself to his feet, away from the eyes of all others as he nears a corner far-removed from the action. He first climbs up the turnbuckle, turning his head over his shoulders to make sure that nobody has caught sight of him, and begins scaling the side of the cage. Jason Hereford, now away from the action, notices a dazed-looking TNT leaning on the side of the ropes. Jason very emphatically walks towards him, his head held high as he pulls TNT off of the ropes, as he—SUDDENLY finds himself thrown onto the top rope throat-first, before a possum-playing TNT slips behind him, grabbing him by the shoulder and whipping him at a downward angle towards the legs of Chaz Stone, who is unaware of what is going on behind him and has Coltrane cornered, where he and Shane Malone are administering to him a beating consisting of elbows, kicks and forearms. Chaz gets ready to bull Coltrane out of the corner and continue with something else, but Jason slides into him from behind and collides with his legs, knocking the stunned Coltrane free and sending Chaz stumbling face-first into the wall of the cage. Shane goes to pull Stone up to his feet, but catches a charging TNT out of the corner of his eye and throws up a big boot. TNT pumps on the breaks and spins out of the way. Tucker throws a firm pair of elbows at Shane’s head, catching him with each before locking in a waistlock, attempting to lift with a gutwrench. Shane blocks it, planting his feet before punching TNT in the side of the stomach and causing him to release. TNT retaliates with an elbow, only to receive a responding punch to the head from Shane. Both men come to blows full-force, TNT covering himself after each punch he throws to avoid taking the brunt of the damage from the hulking Shane Malone. Still climbing the cage is L. Rey, who has finally reached the top unbeknownst to everyone else. Seeing three of his opponents recuperating and TNT and Malone brawling apart from them, he prepares to turn around, but notices that his balance is extremely wobbly, and desperately attempts to keep himself from falling.*
Tom: L. Rey has just about made it! In all the fighting, the man who took the worst from the Tower of Doom earlier may be on the verge of securing himself a W*I*G World Title match! GO FOR IT!
Jeannie: He’s not going to make it—his balance is too poor, he’s still too hurt; he’s gonna fall back off into the cage!
Tom: Oh Lord no, I think you’re right. It’s terrible that’s the case for—WAIT!
*L. Rey suddenly goes flying from the top of the cage, spinning around and leaping, turning his body and taking both TNT and Shane Malone down with a massive crossbody! The crowd goes wild, with a thunderous echo from the impact resonating throughout the ring! All three men involved lay in a heap in the ring, as Jason Hereford looks on with a smile. He turns his head to a recovering Coltrane, who looks at him and nods as they both turn their attention to Chaz Stone, the only other man who is still standing in the ring. Chaz looks on at both of them, his eyes shifting between Coltrane and Hereford, keeping a definitive glance upon both so as not to be caught off-guard by one. Jason charges in at Chaz first, going for his legs and grabbing both of them. Chaz slams down on his back with a massive clubbing forearm, taking him down to his knees. Coltrane, meanwhile, takes the high road, running towards Chaz—using Jason’s own back as a staircase—and hitting him in the head with a high-angle front dropkick to the face. Chaz stumbles back as Coltrane hauls himself back up to his feet, charging at Stone and continuing the attack with a rapid-fire barrage of right forearms. Coltrane hits him with a pressing European uppercut, one very much like that of Stone himself, and runs back into the ropes. Stone throws a clothesline at him, but Coltrane ducks under it, jumping into the ropes, springboarding off and throwing an Angel Wave enzuiguri to the side of Stone’s head, taking him down.*
Tom: The numbers game’s not working out too well for Chaz Stone for the moment, and Coltrane seems to have caught himself a second wind.
Jeannie: I’d just like to say that Coltrane’s lucky that L. Rey—with that STUPID move—took Shane Malone out of things for the meantime.
Tom: Stupid? He ran a risk, but seeing as how everyone’s still down from that one, it definitely did the damage that he wanted it to.
*Jason picks himself up, looking at the recovering trio near the middle of the ring—L. Rey now up to his feet while TNT and Shane are both on their hands and knees—and looks back at Coltrane, frantically instructing him to begin climbing. Coltrane obliges, making his way up the side of the wall as Jason climbs under him, simultaneously pushing him upwards and allowing his ally to use his shoulders as a means of balancing himself. Jason looks over his shoulder, seeing an angry-looking L. Rey quickly catching up with him along the side of the cage. Jason begins yelling frantically at the top of his lungs, a “CLIMB CLIMB CLIMB!” becoming clearly audible. L. Rey, now side-by-side with Jason, begins to punch at him from the side, causing him to lose his balance on the side of the cage and lose both of his feet from the steel links, though his shoulders no longer have to carry the extra weight of Coltrane, who is now near the top of the cage. Jason struggles to hold on—much less climb up—and with him temporarily preoccupied, L. Rey meets Coltrane near the very top of the cage, grabbing him around the waist from behind as he rears back as much as he can, holding the copycat in place as he reaches even ground atop the cage. They begin to exchange punches and forearms, neither man willing to waver or lose his ground. Shane Malone, now up to his feet, helps Chaz Stone up as they both begin to climb. Jason, hanging onto the cage above them, begins to kick downwards, trying to halt both of them from climbing up. Shane turns his head towards Stone, before signaling him to go up as he frees one arm from the cage and grabs Jason by an ankle, pulling him down and pulling him straight off, taking him down with a huge back suplex from the cage wall! Chaz meanwhile is still climbing up, as he sees Coltrane and L. Rey continue to fight with one another. Coltrane gains the advantage, dazing L. Rey after enough hits. He attempts to push him down from the top of the cage, but L. Rey instinctively locks a front facelock in on Coltrane, being at least willing to take his foe down with him if he is also to fall. Both men hang on to the top of the cage desperately, as Chaz Stone finally reaches them.*
Tom: Ladies and gentlemen, three of our competitors here tonight are ALL on top of the cage and are ALL near to one another.
Jeannie: And if all three of them make it to the outside…one of them is going to go home VERY angry at how close they were.
Tom: Not so sure about that. In a match like this, you can look like a serious contender even in defeat; a fine performance here tonight could be enough to justify a match later on to be number one contender when our new champion is finally crowned!
*Meanwhile, far removed from the action, TNT is slinking away towards the cage door, moving slowly and apparently bearing the brunt of L. Rey’s earlier super-crossbody. He gets to the door, yelling at the nearby referee on the outside to get out of his way as he hastily opens the door. TNT gets himself halfway-out when out of the corner of his eye, he catches a very mad-looking Shane Malone barreling towards him, trying to stop him. TNT throws a boot kick straight to the abdomen, and, while doing its job in slowing Malone, fails in stopping his momentum completely—moving like a freight train and moaning in pain like the train’s own siren, Shane goes crashing into TNT anyway as they slam into the side of the doorway, just out of the way of the small opening between the ropes. Both recuperate rather quickly and struggle to exit the enclosure, pushing away at one another; both men are too big to physically accommodate one another’s exit between the ropes. TNT manages to slip out from under Shane and gets himself halfway out through the door again, but having the stronger Malone pulling away at both of his legs preventing him from going forward anymore by even an inch. Back on top of the cage, L. Rey keeps his facelock on Coltrane, who is now not only trying to push him from the cage, but push him off so that the hold is broken. L. Rey refuses to let go, forearming away at Coltrane’s upper back with his free arm as Chaz Stone shifts his weight atop the cage, getting ready to descend. Before he can do so, Coltrane and L. Rey both shift their attention to him, abruptly ceasing their battle with one another as they each begin to pull him towards the inside of the cage. He struggles to free himself of both of them, throwing punches to disrupt their grips, but they both respond in kind with strikes of their own. Quickly, it devolves into an outright free-for-all between all three of them, L. Rey attempting to recollect his still-shaky position on the cage. Coltrane throws an eye-rake at Chaz, catching him off-guard and unloading all the punches he can on him in the meantime, before pushing him off the top of the cage with the aid of L. Rey. But while Stone is no longer on top of the cage, he remains hanging on with his fingers within the links of steel. Coltrane and L. Rey now continue to fight, but L. Rey suddenly jumps up, wrapping his legs around Coltrane’s head and shoulders and pulling back as hard as he can, trying to give him a hurricanrana off the top of the cage and down into the ring. Jason Hereford runs towards Stone, looking to pull him off the cage, when Chaz suddenly turns and dives off the side of the cage, winding back and clobbering Jason with a flying clothesline!*
Tom: What a clothesline! Jason wasn’t expecting that and I’m pretty sure he will be feeling that one for days!
Jeannie: At the rate he’s taking punishment, he’ll be feeling all of that for a long time to come. But what about L. Rey—doesn’t he know that if he executes that hurricanrana, it’s going to take him down too?
Tom: It’s another measured risk, Jeannie—like before, his positioning on the cage wasn’t particularly advantageous, and once again he’s looking to make the best of it with a huge move. Now if he can COMPLETE it, that’s the thing…
*Shane Malone and Toby Nicholas Tucker are
still trying to get themselves out of the cage, but both are looking extremely frustrated by the effort. Shane, keeping his grip on TNT, leans back and slowly gets to his feet, picking TNT up with him. He throws him back-first against the cage wall, rearing back and sending forth a big elbow. TNT ducks it clear, spinning around and now forcing Shane against the wall of the cage. He throws a few punches, but is pushed to his back as Shane pushes himself off and throws out a leg. TNT rolls out of the way and scrambles back up to his feet, once more attacking the Celtic Giant with punches. Shane responds with punches of his own, eventually temporarily sending TNT reeling back. Shane gets up and grabs him by an arm, throwing a short-arm clothesline that is, like the earlier elbow, ducked by TNT who quickly wraps an arm around him and, demonstrating his own strength, lifts Shane up in the air and delivers his thunderous Natural Explosition—a cravat suplex—as Shane crashes into the mat. L. Rey is still pulling away at Coltrane from on top of the cage, both his face and Coltrane’s now beet-red as they struggle exhaustively against one another. Coltrane pushes L. Rey as hard as he can, but L. Rey also pulls Coltrane as hard as he can too, his legs essentially glued upon his adversary. Chaz Stone is now once again climbing onto the ropes, again under Coltrane and L. Rey, no doubt intent on getting the upper hand this time around, when suddenly a running forearm shot to the back from the head from TNT stops him. TNT pulls him off of the side of the ropes and to his feet on the mat, forearming him and punching away. Tucker throws a European uppercut, catching him in the jaw and goes for a vertical suplex, which is blocked. Chaz Stone attempts to suplex TNT, but Tucker blocks as well. On top of the cage, both Coltrane and L. Rey are slipping off the side of the cage. TNT attempts another suplex, but Chaz blocks this one too. Neither man can suplex the other and remain locked in with one another when L. Rey finally manages to execute his hurricanrana, throwing himself AND Coltrane off from the top of the cage and straight down upon a hapless Stone and Tucker, another loud crash echoing throughout the massive arena!*
Tom: WHAT A HURRICANRANA! HE DID IT!
Jeannie: But not without some collateral damage!
Tom: That may be to his advantage! Chaz Stone and TNT had no idea what was unfolding above themselves, since their eyes were both looking downward during that suplex exchange. But right now, every man in the ring is down, and—WAIT! What’s
this?!*Jason Hereford rises from the proverbial wreckage stumbling and, seeing every other man in the ring down, cracks a smile. He suddenly stops his smiling however, when he sees Coltrane in a heap on the mat. Jason scrambles over towards the four men near the center of the ring, and grabs Coltrane around the waist, lifting him up off the mat. Coltrane is far too out of it to even realize what is even going on when Hereford places him on top of his shoulders fireman-carry style and begins stumbling towards the cage door. But when he sees Shane Malone, back-turned-towards-him pulling himself to his knees, he quickly turns around and makes a mad dash back towards the cage wall, doing his best to keep Coltrane on his shoulders. Jason sets Coltrane atop a turnbuckle and scales up it, picking him back up and replacing him on his shoulders as he simultaneously leans forward and scales up the cage, attempting to balance Coltrane’s weight on himself and make it up the cage, ever so slowly. But Shane Malone, now walking towards the cage door, suddenly sees both of them nearing the top of the cage and runs towards their side of the wall, climbing up the ropes. Jason is very near the top—Coltrane himself laying on top of his shoulders his parallel to the apex of the structure—but spots Shane Malone now mere feet under him. Jason continues to climb as fast as he can, but balancing Coltrane on top of him, has no such luck in making a quick escape as Malone pulls himself up BEHIND Jason and locks his arms behind Jason.*
Jeannie: Is he going for a—
Tom: A DRAGON SLAYER! He’s going to pull BOTH of them off with a DRAGON SLAYER!
*Shane pulls back, as Jason begins screaming in abject horror as he feels his grip on the cage rapidly slipping from his hands like sand. But Coltrane, meanwhile, still on his shoulders, recuperates completely and shakes off the cobwebs, realizing the situation. With both hands, he grabs the top bar of the cage, hanging on as Malone—only holding onto Jason Hereford—rips the vagrant clear off the cage and crushes him straight down into the mat well below them with a huge Dragon Slayer! The crowd immediately cheers as Hereford instantly goes limp like a run-over accordion, but some completely stop cheering when it becomes apparent that Coltrane still has a grip on the top of the cage. Chaz Stone is now back up to his feet—as are TNT and L. Rey, though both are still recovering—and noticing this, runs towards the cage wall. Shane, back up to his feet, runs in alarm as well, formerly certain that he was going to take Coltrane down with him just moments before. But as they both begin climbing, Coltrane pulls himself up onto the top of the cage and, rolling over, begins scaling down the outside of the cage. He drops to the floor pads below him, writhing about with an utterly content grin while pumping his fists as the crowd begins booing at the top of their lungs—Coltrane
will be competing at Halloween Hell for the W*I*G World Heavyweight Championship.*
Tom: …ladies and gentlemen, I can’t believe this!
Jeannie: He won! He…won? HE WON!
Tom: Coltrane, I thought, was in no better a condition than anyone else who got caught in that hurricanrana—especially not himself, considering HE was the one who got thrown off the top of the cage by L. Rey. But unfortunately, this is what happens when you let a man who ALREADY has a title shot into a match for contendership.
Jeannie: …you’re saying this like Jason should be happy right now. Look at him in there! He’s not even moving! And you say this like all is lost for everyone else in the match—one more person can compete for the belt! In fact, the rules make it so there MUST be another person.
Tom: True as that may be, I can’t look at Coltrane’s success in this as anything that
isn’t tainted. But then again, rules are rules, and there was nothing illegal about that—and that’s why I’m glad that Jason Hereford got to feel every ounce of that MASSIVE Dragon Slayer.
*In the ring, Shane Malone is in utter confusion. He is astounded that Coltrane was able to escape, especially when, looking over his shoulder at the motionless Jason Hereford, he could quite possibly have wiped him out of the match, too. He continues to climb but, noticing Chaz Stone—who began climbing after Coltrane first, anyway—above him, he shifts his direction and climbs frantically, trying to reach his ally for what has been a significant portion of the match. But Shane seems disinterested in continuing the alliance in the form that it’s going—especially since now only
one of them can face off for the championship gold—when, under Chaz Stone, he grabs onto both of his ankles and leans back, trying to pull him down. Away from this, L. Rey and TNT are both on their feet and are both trading shots back and forth. TNT grabs L. Rey, whipping him into the ropes as he comes rebounding off. TNT throws a knife-edge chop, but L. Rey slides under it and right between his legs, popping up behind him and turning him around before laying into him with a cavalcade of punches and kicks. Overwhelmed, TNT finds himself on the receiving end of an enzuiguri that takes him down to the mat face-first.*
Tom: Skull-cracking enzuiguri from L. Rey! Let’s see if that gives him the opening that he needs here.
Jeannie: Yeah, IF he can keep his balance this time.
Tom: Which, seeing how nobody’s tailing him this time, I think he’s got a very good chance of.
*L. Rey clambers up the side of the ropes, beginning his ascent up the side of the cage. Chaz Stone, meanwhile, is still being pulled down by Shane Malone who begins clubbing him on the lower back to force him to loosen his grip. Stone loses his grip, in pain, and Shane pulls him down, both of them now narrowly balancing on the top rope as they each lean into the steel cage wall. Shane throws a big punch at Chaz, who returns fire with a bigger punch of his own. Malone retaliates with a punch that is yet bigger than the previous two, before grabbing Stone around the throat. He pulls upwards for a chokeslam, but Chaz Stone blocks it, breaking free with two heavy shots to Shane’s head. As Shane Malone lets go, Chaz seizes the opportunity, quickly standing next to the big man and taking him clear off the ropes with a gigantic side-Russian leg sweep! The ring nearly shakes from the impact and, with both of them temporarily out of the way, L. Rey continues to climb up the side of the cage. Just as he makes it to the top again, he prepares to go down when a pull from the toe of his boot stops him. TNT, still a bit dizzy from the enzuiguri, is clutching L. Rey’s right boot with both hands, tugging away as he clings with his feet onto the chain links of the steel cage. L. Rey leans over, popping Tucker on top of the head with a few forearms, but he still holds on; in fact, he begins climbing upwards, intent on keeping himself in the match. He releases one hand from L. Rey’s boot, grabbing onto the cage as he releases his other hand from L. Rey’s boot and starts throwing some punches. L. Rey continues throwing forearms as TNT fights back, until he gets his upper body over top of the cage and leans forward on top of it, L. Rey still throwing forearms and now adding some punches to the mix. He attempts to throw TNT off, but Tucker blocks with both of his arms, turning himself over and getting up so that he is now on equal ground with his enemy. L. Rey starts unloading his forearms and punches frantically as TNT does the same, a flurry of fists alternating between both men as neither seems willing to back off—or fall down, for that matter.*
Tom: We’ve got ourselves a showdown on top of the cage here! TNT gets to the top of the cage by the skin of his teeth, but now he’s got L. Rey to deal with.
Jeannie: I wonder if they’re both going to go flying like L. Rey did to Coltrane earlier.
Tom: As much as he hates TNT, I’m not sure he’ll be taking the risk now that it could possibly put him out of action long enough for someone else to escape—Chaz Stone’s back to his feet and he’s already making his way up the cage. Shane’s recovering and Jason…well, he’s still out cold.
*Chaz Stone walks towards the door of the cage, slowed down almost purely from fatigue that has piled up over the course of this match. As he gets to the door, he opens it—slowing down so that the referee outside may get out of the way. He prepares to step out of it, but looming outside the door is Coltrane, who had made it up to his feet before and is glaring at Stone, coldly welcoming him to the outside of the cage. Chaz slows down, carefully exiting the door, his eyes kept on Coltrane, when suddenly Shane Malone dives at him, grabbing him around an ankle. Coltrane quickly backs off away from the door now, watching on as Chaz Stone struggles to exit the cage, both of his hands tightly clenching the doorway of the steel cage. Shane continues pulling back, now wrapping a grapevine in around Stone’s leg as he absolutely refuses to let go. Stone pulls as hard as he can, his fingers between the back of the cage door at the doorway itself. Chaz looks back at Shane, then towards Coltrane, who austerely continues to look at him, his arms folded and his glance locked. Chaz Stone quickly leans himself back, now pushing himself between the middle and top ropes and turning around as he wraps his arms around the ropes, Shane still pulling away. Back on top of the cage, L. Rey and TNT are
still going at it; L. Rey has gained the advantage as TNT leans inward towards the center of the ring, L. Rey still punching away at him as he tries to knock him squarely off of the cage and secure himself a shot at the title. But TNT is hanging on and he scissors one of the top horizontal bars of the steel cage, instinctively hanging on for dear life. L. Rey leans over, pushing away at him, but TNT suddenly wraps a front waistlock around him, squeezing much like a bearhug albeit without even lifting him up. Both men remain locked with one another atop the cage.*
Tom: I don’t think either is going to move; these two have more or less become mortal enemies to each other and considering what’s at stake, neither will give in!
Jeannie: Can’t one just give up already? The suspense here is killing me!
*Back to the cage door, Chaz Stone and Shane Malone are in a similar predicament. Shane may be entirely inside the cage, but Stone’s grip is loosening and with no end to this in sight, he finally lets go as Malone pulls him in, both of them flopping to the mat from the sheer momentum of Malone’s tug back in. They each get up to their feet and start trading shots with one another, massive punches alternating between them. Shane Malone stumbles back from a particularly strong shot from Chaz Stone, who runs into the ropes and bounces off, charging at full speed. Malone catches Stone mid-run, lifting him up and flapjacking him hard into the wall of the cage, as Stone ricochets off and collapses back-first onto the mat. On top of the cage, TNT is hanging entirely onto the cage by his legs, with them wrapped around the top of the structure as he hangs upside-down. L. Rey remains on top of the cage, but TNT won’t let go of him and has him in his grasp. L. Rey punches him a few times, breaking free once again as he turns around to descend. He gets over the top of the cage, but TNT pulls his body up and once again gets his hands around one of L. Rey’s ankles, keeping him in place on top of the cage. In the center of the ring, Shane Malone holds Chaz Stone in a facelock, the flapjack into the cage not having been enough to slow him down enough to allow for an escape. Shane clubs Chaz Stone over the back several times, bringing him to his knees and stunning him. Shane puts Chaz’s head between his legs and wraps his arms around, heaving the only slightly smaller man up on top of his shoulders powerbomb-style.*
Tom: He’s going to go for an Irish Car Bomb!
Jeannie: Hasn’t he done enough damage?!
Tom: I don’t think that’s what it’s about here. I don’t think that’s enough for Shane Malone, who can understandably take pride in taking Stone out of the match RIGHT HERE with his signature Irish Car Bomb!
*Shane charges forward, leaning down and throwing Chaz Stone—NO! Chaz slides off of Shane’s shoulders, landing behind him as Shane tumbles forward to the mat. In anger, he rumbles back up to his feet and charges at Chaz, rearing down, only for Stone to grab him and lift him up, driving him hard to the mat mid-run with a Seattle Spinebuster! Shane collapses to the mat as Stone falls down to a seated position, still dizzy from the moves received earlier. But he’s still more than conscious enough to notice an unguarded door with a clear path—sans an unconscious Jason Hereford laid out in the middle of the ring—and crawls towards the door, regaining his bearings. Back on top of the cage, L. Rey kicks backwards at TNT’s face, trying to push him off. Again, L. Rey frees himself and turns most of himself over the top of the cage and to the outside, but TNT reaches over as well, grabbing his hair and pulling back as they each struggle to make it to the outside of the cage while keeping the other man in. Chaz Stone, meanwhile, crawls past Jason’s limp body and is now more than halfway to the door. But suddenly, Shane Malone reaches out and grabs one of Stone’s feet with one hand, stretching out as far as he possibly can. Chaz claws at the mat, inching closer and closer to the outside to the door as he drags Malone along with him. The door to the cage finally opens as he gets nearer, now wrapping his hands around the bottom rope as he pulls himself underhand-style to the door. Malone finally recuperates and begins pulling back. Stone looks over his shoulder, seeing L. Rey and TNT both nearly entirely over the top of the cage and looks back at Shane Malone, who is bringing himself closer to Stone, going hand-over-hand up the side of his leg like a mere rope. But Stone pulls himself through the ropes, taking advantage of Shane not pulling back as much, and gets himself mostly out of the cage, his legs being the only things still inside. Shane rears back and pulls with all his might in alarm. Stone flails his arms, getting a grip on the side of the door as it is slowly pulled back due to the angle with which he clings to it.*
Tom: This is INTENSE.
Jeannie: Ooh, if only I could be sandwiched between those two!
Tom: …uh. Anyway, Shane Malone and Chaz Stone are at present locked in combat with one another as they each struggle to make it out through that door! Chaz Stone is clinging to that door and it looks like Shane Malone’s grip might be failing him. All that stress, all that sweat…it wears you down with each passing minute and the big man seems to really be tiring!
*Just as it seems that Stone has wriggled free, Shane Malone temporarily releases his grip and pounces through the ropes, intent on catching
all of Chaz instead of a leg. But Chaz Stone pulls the door and drops to the mat as Shane goes over him and smashes into the door, face-first. Quickly, Stone continues crawling through and makes it even further out through the door—his hands are now clutching the ring steps and can almost touch the floor itself! Shane recuperates, grabbing a hold of one of his pant legs as he continues to pull back. But the threads are slowly and surely slipping from Shane Malone’s fingers, and Chaz Stone is now nearly entirely outside of the ring. Dazed and confused, Shane leans forward and with one final big tug, pulls Chaz Stone in a little bit and releases his leg completely before flopping on top of him. On the top of the cage, TNT throws a haymaker at L. Rey, putting him in a daze as he crawls further over the top of the cage. L. Rey locks in a reverse facelock from behind, trapping TNT on top of the cage as he continues to fight and makes his own way further over the cage. TNT fights free and hands L. Rey a European uppercut, striking him as most of L. Rey’s body goes over the cage, but perhaps not realizing where he is, he continues to hang on as TNT frantically attempts to pull him back in, grabbing onto one of his arms and hanging on. Chaz Stone meanwhile continues to crawl out, with Shane struggling to get out first. Shane goes through the ropes with his lower legs still inside the cage, trying to hold Chaz Stone from reaching the floor. But Chaz throws a big elbow that causes him to lose his grip and Stone makes it yet further outside of the cage; he is nearly on the floor now with Shane’s own body being positioned in a way that prevents him from reaching the floor before him. On the side of the cage, L. Rey regains his composure and bats away at TNT with both fists, trying to free himself of his grip. TNT tries to hold on but is losing it, and L. Rey is nearly entirely free. He begins a slow descent, but with TNT still holding on to him on the top of the cage, he cannot go very far at all. Chaz Stone rolls over onto his back on the stairs outside; Shane Malone swipes at his face with a huge paw, holding onto him with the other hand, but Chaz rears back and kicks him squarely in the face with a boot that stuns him. Malone throws another huge swipe at Chaz Stone, but another kick to the jaw catches him. Chaz now pushes off on Shane’s face with both of his feet, pushing Shane backwards slightly and off of him just enough that his grip is compromised—Chaz pushes himself and the stairs that he has become placed on off, away from the ring, and the steps topple as he falls to the floor, seated and red as magma.*
DING DING DING!
*The crowd erupts into cheers. L. Rey and TNT may both be in a complete daze, but they each know exactly what the bell and the crowd’s reaction means. Both are livid, mainly with each other, but remain locked up on the side of the cage. Jason Hereford remains inside the cage, completely motionless. Shane Malone sits in the ring, leaning on the ropes and looking outside with his head held low. Coltrane remains standing outside of the cage, his distance kept from Stone as he keeps his arms folded and looks at his opponent.*
Finkel: Here are your winners…COLTRANE AND CHAZ STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!
Tom: HE did it! Chaz Stone is going to Halloween Hell to wrestle for the W*I*G World Heavyweight Championship!
Jeannie: And he’ll be meeting Coltrane, too.
* Chaz Stone is helped up by both referees attending the outside of the steel cage and gets to his feet, smiling as his chest heaves, both of his arms raised high up in the air. He turns around and notices Coltrane looking at him, but the glance from Coltrane does nothing to kill the mood for him. He just nods at Coltrane, confirming what is to come between them and looks towards Shane, who is sitting in the doorway. Chaz staggers towards him and throws out a hand, with Malone catching it with one of his own as he looks up at Stone and the two shake hands; the crowd’s cheers continue just as loudly as before at this. Both of the referees turn their attention to L. Rey and TNT, running over and breaking up the two from their fight, pulling down the suspended L. Rey as he is the more easy to catch.*
Tom: No rest for the officials here tonight, who have to pull the utterly hostile L. Rey and TNT off of each other.
Jeannie: And TNT is still on top of the cage! Maybe I should go up there and comfort him in his loss!
*The referees now run up the steps, past Shane Malone and into the ring where they each grab a side of Jason Hereford and carry him outside the cage and outside the ring. He finally wakes up, and seeing himself outside, jumps from their arms and lands on his knees, with his arms raised triumphantly. Only when they both tell him what exactly happened does his celebration stop, and even then, he seems unconvinced until he notices L. Rey walking up the aisle and Chaz Stone standing next to the cage, grinning at him. He shakes his head, looking at Stone and falls backwards, sprawling out on the floor in anguish.*
Jeannie: Huh, Jason thought he must have won this.
Tom: If by “won” you mean “got knocked out the longest” then he’d be right. But ladies and gentlemen, given the history between these two men—Chaz Stone and Coltrane—there’s no doubt, in my mind at least, that these two are going to be pulling out ALL the stops at Halloween Hell when they face off for the W*I*G World Heavyweight Championship. And with no disqualifications in the match—like all the others—there’s nothing that’ll be holding them back.
*As both men stare each other down, Chaz Stone still excited with his victory and Coltrane still glaring at him, the camera fades out.*
